Blackmagic Design UltraStudio 4K Mini

Thunderbolt 3 capture and playback for a Mac, Windows or Linux machine. Plug it in and the computer gains proper broadcast I/O — 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 in and out — for capture, playback, streaming or driving a media server.

Handles all formats up to 4K DCI at 60p, with 12-bit high dynamic range capture up to 4K DCI 30p. Embedded audio is 16 channels on SDI and 8 on HDMI, with a 3-pin XLR input and headphone output on the front for a mic or a listen.

A colour LCD on the front shows the incoming signal with audio meters, format and frame rate, so you can confirm what is arriving without turning to the computer. There is an SD card reader built in, and Thunderbolt 3 supplies 45 W host charging, so a laptop runs from the same cable.
