Visual Productions TimeCore Timecode Generator / Converter

A small, solid-state box that does everything timecode. It generates a stable master clock, chases an incoming one as a slave, converts freely between formats, and shows the running frame on a large red LED display you can read from across the room.

It converts between SMPTE LTC, MIDI timecode and Ethernet timecode (Art-Net and RTP-MIDI), and between frame rates — 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 — so a playback machine running at one rate can drive a lighting desk expecting another.

  • Timecode master, slave and converter, with a timecode display
  • SMPTE LTC in and out
  • MIDI timecode (MTC), MIDI notes, MMC and MSC
  • Art-Net timecode and RTP-MIDI over Ethernet
  • Show control over TCP, UDP and OSC — incoming messages can start, stop or manipulate the timecode, and outgoing ones can be mapped onto the timeline
  • Lighting protocols: Art-Net and sACN, so it talks to a lighting desk directly
  • Two user-definable push buttons
  • Built-in web server for configuration — nothing to install
  • Desktop or DIN rail mounting, PoE Class I powered

Handy when playback, lighting and audio each expect a different flavour of timecode and something has to sit in the middle.
